So today was a pretty big day for me for a couple of reasons, firstly, it was the 2nd time that I’d be attempting to train legs.  Best Leg Day Workout: This was a big deal for me because I’ve been carrying a knee injury that requires surgery and I wanted to be able to keep training while putting off the surgery for as long as possible.  Also, given the fact that the last time I trained legs I couldn’t walk properly for 4 days I was a little apprehensive.

Just had the best leg day workout

Monday was also a big day for me work wise. I had an early start (5.30am) and a late finish planned (8.30pm) so I needed to keep my energy levels up just to get through the day.

I was really pleased with my training effort today.  I smashed my leg workout.  The exact same workout as I did last Monday but this time, it was a breeze, although let’s see how I pull up before we make such a judgement call aye?

Breakfast was surprisingly good.  We had a leftover chicken carcass in the fridge, so i picked it to pieces and managed to get about 150 grams of chicken meat off it.  I also found some left over steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots in the fridge so I checked it all into a frying pan and stir fried it in coconut oil. I chucked a handful of chopped almonds into the mix just to add some calories to the pan and voila a nutritious and simple breakfast in just under 10 mins.

For dinner we had spaghetti Bolognaise.  Now usually I wouldn’t have eaten such a calorie rich meal for dinner but I made an exception because I had 3 PT sessions to battle through and I knew I was going to need the extra energy.  Suffice to say I think I had just enough.
