Day 7 – Here We Go Again Take Two

Reaching My Health and Fitness Goals

I love my weekends, mostly because there’s so much family time involved.  I make a point of not working and not training but today was different.  I woke up this morning at 5.45am which is pretty typical for me and those in the fitness industry will tell you that’s pretty standard.

Health and fitness goals

If I do train I like to train around 1-2pm in the afternoon.  Firstly, it’s usually a quiet time of the day work wise for me and secondly, I’ve usually had 2 meals and a snack by then, so I’m guaranteed to have plenty of energy on board.

Morning Trainings

This morning though I felt like training, so I did.  Up at 6.00am and straight downstairs for a great chest and triceps workout.  And it felt awesome.

No lack of energy like I thought I’d have.  I’ve not trained on an empty stomach for ages, years even and I felt good.  I managed to get through the exact same workout that I did 6 days ago.

Increase Weights

In fact I was able to increase the weights on the last 2 sets of my bench press which was a good shot to my ego.

After training I made breakfast for me and the kids, cleaned up and headed off to my son’s footy game.

As his manager, I have to get to the game a little earlier to set out the boys jerseys, get them to sign the team sheet and get them ready for the coaches to warm up.

My poor son though, he rolled his ankle last weekend so he’s out of action for a couple of weeks.  How frustrating he must’ve been sitting on the sidelines watching his team.



Healthy Eating

We headed home in time for me to re-heat last nights dinner (corned silverside, carrots, broccoli & cauliflower) in the oven for lunch before I headed back out the door to watch a premier grade referee.

I took with me a couple of pieces of fruit and a protein shake as a mid afternoon snack and was home in time for dinner at 6.00pm which was a nice piece of steak with some steamed veges.
