Day 5 – Invest In Yourself

It was Stephen Covey who said in his bestselling book “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” that every now and again you need to sharpen your saw.



In essence he means that every now and then, take time out to refresh yourself, rejuvenate yourself.  Given today is day 5 and I’m still walking like a duck, I treated myself to a very long and very soothing remedial massage treatment.  It was bliss.

Being able to walk normally afterwards was a tell tale sign that it worked.  Oh insert sneaky sales pitch.  Did I mention I am a Massage Therapist? I am but I have to go to someone else to get my massages done and boy what it great. Please treat yourself if you feel your body need it as I mention in my recovery post you have to treat your body right for you to recover from training’s and workouts and to be able to get the most out of your body.



Today was rest day so I didn’t train, but I did manage to get another 3 quality meals and 2 good quality snacks into me. Make sure you eat right as again if you don’t you will notice that you cannot train to your full potential and your body will fatigue.

Breakfast included 2 poached eggs with my daughter.  Lunch was left over dinner from last night.

Not much else to say really other than tomorrow I get to start all over again.
