Eat Breakfast

Imagine your body is like a car.  You wake up and your car has very little petrol in the tank.  You’re driving over 600 klms today, but you won’t get very far when the gauge is on empty.  So first thing you have to do is drive to the gas station and fill up with petrol, otherwise make sure you have your automobile association on speed dial because you’re going to need them.

Petrol is to a car what food is to your body.  In its crude form, food is petrol.  (It is in fact much more but let’s not confuse you for now)  If you don’t put any petrol in your car it won’t get very far.  Likewise for your body.  If you don’t put any petrol in your body, while it may still go, it won’t function very well.

So, here’s the trick, eat breakfast.

When the right foods are eaten, your breakfast can set you up perfectly with tackling the day’s activities, whether it’s a busy day at work, or simply running a busy household with kids, husbands and chores.

Breakfast kick starts your metabolism.  Like a camp fire that needs to be stoked and maybe re-lit, your metabolism needs to be stoked and re-lit.

I can hear some of you whinging as you read this, “But I’m not hungry in the morning”.  Well guess what, you’re probably not hungry because your hormones are out of balance.  Hunger is hormonal responses (we’ll discuss this in a latter tip) get your hormones in check and your hunger pains in the morning will return.
