Tip 50 Take Responsibility For What Goes On In Your Life

Sometimes life deals us a shitty hand. You were born into poverty.  Your parents separated when you were young.  You lost your job.  You were in a car accident.  You were diagnosed with a debilitating disease.  You weren’t breast fed as a baby.  Your parents fed you bad foods and that made you fat.  While tragic as they may be to the person that they occur to, it’s not the end of the world, unless it kills you, in which case it is.  Like my father always says, if it doesn’t kill you, it can either make you stronger or weaker, whichever you choose. The key word here is CHOICE.

The reality is, no matter what happens to you, it’s not “the what” that’s important, it’s how you let it affect you and more importantly, how you choose to deal with it.

We often blame others for our misfortune.  I have a saying I love.  It may not be your fault, but it sure as hell is your responsibility.  No one else is responsible for your actions, only you.  So you may as well get over yourself and pick yourself up off the canvas.  I may give you a helping hand, but I can’t pick you up, till you reach up and grab my hand.

You are responsible for eating more of the foods and drinks I’ve suggested.  You are responsible for eating less of the foods I’ve suggested.  You are responsible for following the nutritional guidelines I’ve suggested.  You are responsible for following the exercise guidelines I’ve suggested and you are responsible for following the lifestyle guidelines I’ve suggested. I cannot make you do anything you don’t want to do.  You have to WANT to do it.
