The Biggest Medical Lie Of The 20th Century

As a fitpro, I’m often asked for dietary advice and while I’m not a qualified nutritionist or dietitian I know what’s good for you and what’s not.  As someone who get’s weird looks every time I ask for butter to be placed on the side of my black coffee order I know what it’s like to be in the minority view.

However, with the advent of social media everyday people are able to learn and share information much easier than before.

It’s now become well known and backed by science that the biggest medical lie of the 20th century is that eating fat makes you fat.  The ABC’s Catalyst show has recently aired a number of programmes to go right to the heart of this exact myth.  They are easily accessible on YouTube and I’ve taken the liberty of sharing them for you today in this blog post.

The take home point for me out of watching these three videos is this:

If you want to live a longer healthier lifestyle, lose any excess fat that you’re carrying then the answer isn’t really that difficult.  Go back and eat the foods that are real, cleanly grown or farmed and existed prior to 10,000 years ago when the human race roamed the earth.  Things like meat, fish, poultry, wild game, fresh vegetables, nuts, seeds and fruit.

You won’t find things like cakes, biscuits, lollies, fast foods, packets of crisps, soft drinks, energy drinks, fruit juices, low fat, no fat, reduced fat anything or anything containing artificial sweeteners on the menu 10,000 years ago.

Anything that the human race claims it has improved is probably a lie, we’ve not yet learned to outsmart mother nature yet.
