Are you stressed or do you just need a point of view shake up?

Stress is one of the biggest and secret causes of obesity today.  How many of you look at your world like this?

Are you stressed?  I’ll tell you Stressed.  This morning I got up at my usual time of 5.00am to find its still blooding raining in SUNNY? Queensland.  It was a bit of a struggle, but I managed to get in the shower only to find we’d run out of gas and so there was no hot water.

Then when I went to have breakfast, there wasn’t enough milk for my Weetbix and to make matters worse, as I was hopping in the car to head to work, my 5.45am client bloody messages me to tell me that she’s not coming to her PT session.  Oh well I’m up, I may as well head to the gym to see if I can pick up a new client off the floor.

Or, you can see the world like this.

Was woken by the sound of rain on the roof at 5.00am.  Nice, I’m awake, my beautiful wife is still asleep and the house sounds peaceful.  Its time for a shower, unexpected cold shower, nothing like the chill to give you an invigorating wake up call.

Showered, changed, now what’s for breakfast?  Hmm, no milk, oh well, I feel like eggs on toast with spinach anyway.  Yum.  Get an sms from my first client telling me she’s not coming in due to illness.  I hope she’s ok, must send her a get well card.  I still get paid though and I get the chance to prospect for a client on the gym floor.  Now that’s a bonus.  Head to work and chat to a woman on the treadmill.  She agrees to a complimentary workout next week, so she’s booked in, what a great start to the day and its not even 7.00am.

So, I get the chance to be stressed or I can be inspired.  It’s my choice.
